Effective Drug Rehab Can Be Found At Riverbend Retreat

As the country has had it's attention focused on the Gulf Coast pollution created by the BP oil spill, a far more widespread and deadly pollution is sweeping the nation - drug abuse. Drug and alcohol addiction are costly to taxpayers and prescription addiction is a major threat in the world according to the 2010 United  Nations World Drug Report and the White House.

Prescription drug abuse is rapidly becoming a world wide problem on par with cocaine and opiates according to the White House report. The only real solution is drug education and rehabilitation. Fortunately for Louisiana, there is Narconon Riverbend.

Narconon Riverbend does both drug rehab and education.  However, they are very different from traditional drug rehab facilities in that their program's success rate is about 60% greater than traditional programs. Their graduates not only come off of drugs, but stay off drugs and go on to lead happy and productive lives.

The Narconon program used at Riverbend was started in 1966 by it's founder William Benitez who himself had struggled with heroin addiction. From it's earliest inception at the Arizona State Penitentiary the Narconon program got results far surpassing any program delivered. The addicts not only came off of drugs, but stayed off.

Narconon Riverbend delivers the full Narconon program on an in-patient basis. Their retreat is on 15 acres and includes a pool and recreation center for use in the students off time.

Narconon refers to it's clients as "Students" not "Patients".  The term "Patient" implies one is afflicted by a disease and that one has no choice in the matter.  At Narconon clients are "Students" that have something to learn, principles that if they knew and applied they would not now be addicted to a substance. They even have a course to teach one how to study, eliminating this as a barrier to being a student.

However, the Narconon program is not just about study. The initial steps address the body.  A person addicted to drugs is nutritionally deficient as the drugs create wholesale deficiencies in the body.  These deficiencies are addressed upon intake at Narconon Riverbend and once fully withdrawn from drugs, the individual does the Narconon New Life Detoxification Program.  This program flushes the residual toxins left over from drug use from the body in a safe effective manner.

The results from the New Life Detoxification Program are individually quite remarkable, however, the stated goal is a person who can think more clearly and whose physical cravings have been alleviated.

Completing the full Narconon program at Narconon Riverbend sets the student on a new course in life, free from drugs and alcohol.
