Neil Diamond to Perform Live at Madison Square Garden in New York August 12

Neil Diamond will be playing live at the Madison Square Garden in New York, NY on Tuesday, August 12 at 8:00 pm.  He will play at The Square again on the 14^th and 15^th before moving on to Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 18.

One of the most popular singer/songwriters of the 1960’s through 1980’s, Neil Diamond is a successful pop music performing how released several number one hits through the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.  William Ruhlmann, a critic wrote about Diamond saying, “as of 2001, he claimed worldwide record sales of 115 million copies, and as of 2002 he was ranked third, behind only Elton John and Barbra Streisand, on the list of the most successful adult contemporary artists in the history of Billboard chart.”

Diamond was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1984 in addition to the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000.
