Kansas City Royals Blues

A team that looked to be promising and maybe on its way to a respectable season now is starting to look like the Royals many have seen for the last several years, bad. They have now lost 12 in a row and things don't look to be getting better anytime soon. Their pitching is starting to flatten out and their hitting is not really hitting anymore. The woes is leaving many players on the team scratching their heads wondering what is going on and how could it be changed. The answer seems to be way far up on the road because they haven't started to win yet.

Starters like Bannister and Meche have not been as strong for the Royals as they were last year and their bullpen is being used way too much early on in the season. The hitting of players Teahen and Butler have not been what the Royals expected out them in their lineup. Outfielder Jose Guillen leads the team with 36 RBI’s but he is the only one who seems to give any consistent type offense.

If the Royals are going to get this turned around and not let their season fall down the tubes, they are going to have to start pitching like they were early on and start to produce more offense to take pressure off their young staff. The Blues is keeping on in KC and the faithful of the Royal Blue can only sigh. Maybe next year again KC.
