Bo Diddley, Blues and Rock Icon, Dies at 79

Bo Diddley, known as “The Originator” for his fusion of blues and rock style, died at his Archer, Florida home on Monday. Diddley was 79.

The famed guitarist and edgy vocalist was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 as much for his personality as for his rockabilly sound.
