New Kids on the Block to Perform Live at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut September 30

The New Kids on the Block are making a comeback touring through the US.  The group will be performing in Uncasville, Connecticut at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday, September 30 at 7:30 pm.  The band will then move on to Cleveland, Ohio where the group will perform at the Quicken Loans Arena on October 3.

1980’s boyband, the New Kids on the Block gained recognition in the early 1990’s.  The group was formed by Maurice Starr in 1984, which included Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood.  Having sold over 70 million albums worldwide ,the boy band earned millions in concert revenues, preceding popular boy bands such as the Backstreet Boys, Take That and *NSync.

Following a breakup in 1994, the group reunited in April 2008 and will be touring throughout the United States this fall in promotion of their new album, Summertime.  According to Donnie Wahlberg, 80% of the album was written by himself, Jordan Knight and Joey McIntyre.
