Tina Turner to Perform Live at the Target Center in Minneapolis October 9

Tina Turner will be performing live at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Thursday, October 9 at 7:30 pm.  She will perform next at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Monday, October 13.

American singer-songwriter, dancer and actress, Tina Turner was born as Anna Mae Bullock.  The winner of eight Grammy Awards, she has earned the title as “The Queen of Rock & Roll” for her contribution to rock music, although she has also performed R&B, soul, dance and pop music.  She has been listed as one of The Immortals – The Greatest Artists of All Time by Rolling Stone and is in the Grammy Hall of Fame with two of her singles, “River Deep  Mountain High” (1999) and “Proud Mary” (2003).

Turner will begin her 2008 tour in Kansas City on October 1 after she was convinced to do so by actress Sophia Loren.
