Suspicious Package Found at U.S. Embassy in Paris, Two Employees Taken for Medical Check-Ups

At least two employees at the U.S. embassy in Paris have received medical check-ups following the discovery of a suspicious package in the buildings mail room.

The state department has already said the medical check-ups were precautionary and that the packages did not contain anything harmful.

According to the state department “"Preliminary results indicate that the envelope was not harmful.”

While the initial report suggested the envelope was not harmful it is still being analyzed at a laboratory and police are investigating the incident.
