Three Kenyans Held in Connection with Deadly Bombing in Uganda

Three Kenyan men have been arrested and are now in custody, charged with the deadly bombing in Uganda’s capital city of Kampala on July 11.

All three men are facing charges of murder, terrorism and attempted murder for the bombing which killed more than 75 people and left several more injured. That attack came as hundreds of people had gathered to watch the final match of the World Cup.

Shortly after the bombing al-Shabab, a militant group loyal to al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility. It is not yet known if the three men detained have an affiliation with al-Shabab.
