Julie Lippitt, President of Pete’s Plumbing, explained, “Our goal with the blog is to move closer to our customers and provide them with an interactive tool so they view Pete’s Plumbing as their plumbing and water conservation partner. We can also use this social media channel, along with Twitter, to stay engaged with our customers so that we know what they are most concerned about and how we can more closely meet their unique needs. Blog posts to date include information about eco-friendly faucets and toilets, tankless water heaters, green plumbing, water conservation tips, septic tank inspections and plumbing problems related to tree roots. The posts are usually updated on a weekly basis and often feature pictures of new products and services.
As Lippitt added, “The topics are endless and the blog offers a way for customers to post questions and comments, share stories, or suggest topics of interest. In this way, we hope to have our customers shape what we write about so that they can get the most value from the blog.
