CKE Restaurants, Inc. (CKE) owns, operates, franchises or licenses 3,083 quick-service restaurants (QSRs) primarily under the brand names Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s. Carl’s Jr. restaurants are primarily located in the Western United States. Carl’s Jr. restaurants offer food, a burger-based menu with other dining selections. The Hardee’s restaurants are located in the Southeastern and Midwestern United States. On July 16, 2007, the Company sold its La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill (La Salsa) restaurants and the related franchise operations to LAS Acquisition, LLC.
