About the participating organizations:
Vatsalya is an Indian non-governmental organization that has created Udayan - a children's village that provides loving care for over 60 orphaned and abandoned children in India. Namaste India Children's Fund is a US non-profit that partners with Indian organizations dedicated to serving the population of street children in India. Anoothi is a fair trade business providing economic sustainability for village women in India. Local village women are hired at a fair wage and trained in the production of semi-precious jewelry and other Indian handicrafts which are then sold globally to generate revenue for the village.
"My time in India has forever changed me. The beauty and enduring spirit of the women and children I was fortunate enough to spend time with humbles and inspires me, said Delta Donohue, Co-Director of NICF and partner of Anoothi Co-op. “May we all meet such wonderful people and work towards a world where all have equal access to opportunity."
