Ed McMahon Fights Foreclosure on Beverly Hills House

Ed McMahon, the longtime sidekick to famed talk show host Johnny Carson, is fighting to save his multimillion dollar Beverly Hills house from foreclosure, according to reports Wednesday.

McMahon, 85, fell and broke his neck 18 months ago, preventing him from working. His forclosure problems have stemmed from his health issues, broken neck and the weak housing market.

McMahon is one of America's most high-profile people to be involved in the downturn of the housing crisis.

McMahon was then about $644,000 in arrears on the mortgage for the six-bedroom, five-bathroom home in an exclusive area of Beverly Hills. The house has been on the market for about two years and the current asking price is $5.75 million.

McMahon spent 30 years as the sidekick for Carson on "The Tonight Show" before hosting the popular U.S. TV talent show "Star Search."
