Anderson Cooper told political correspondent Donna Brazile that he wants to be her "boo" during a live broadcast Wednesday on his CNN show.
Cooper, the lead anchor of his own show Anderson Cooper 360, asked Brazile about Barack Obama while she sat on a panel. Brazile, the Democratic strategist, said that Obama called her Tuesday "not to get my support, but to talk about Democratic unity" and to reach out to Senator Hillary Clinton.
Cooper asked Brazile if Obama shared anything privately about how he plans to reach out to Clinton. "He's told everyone that he plans to sit down with Senator Clinton," Brazile said.
Cooper attempted to see if Brazile had more information that Obama hasn't shared with the nation, asking her, "What is something he hasn't told anyone else...just you?"
"Anderson, you're not my 'boo'," said Brazile with a slight wave of her finger. After some slight laughter, Cooper responded, "I want to be your boo."
Cooper then admitted that he is not exactly sure what the slang term meant soon after the studio erupted in laughter.
Thousands of fans searched the Internet, wondering the exact same thing: "What does the term "boo" mean?" The term "boo" is a slang term of endearment, generally describing a significant other.
The situation was made funnier due to the fact that Cooper is openly gay.
