Rocket Explodes Outside Jordan Hotel, One Killed and Five Wounded

Jordanian security forces are investigating a rocket explosion that killed one person and wounded five others on Monday. The rocket landed in front of the Intercontinental Hotel in Aqaba shortly before 8 a.m. It was fired from outside Jordan.

The Jordanian citizen who died was identified as Subhi Alawneh. No other details were available.

Just across the border in Eilat, Isreal, one rocket landed in an open field. Two others landed in the Red Sea. The Israeli military radio reported the rockets were fired from Egypt.
