Two surfers were killed and a third wounded in separate incidents during April and May near the resort towns of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo.
Marine authorities have not indicated how many sharks will be tagged in their efforts to determine why the predators are getting to close to
Shark experts say they plan to catch the sharks with specially baited fishing lines, tag the animals’ dorsal fin, and release them so that scientists can monitor their behavior via satellite.
