A video released by the California Highway Patrol on Monday shows Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans speeding on the highway, according to Associated Press.
Evans, the 2009-10 NBA Rookie of the Year, was caught driving 120-130 miles per hour on Interstate 80 in his purple Mercedes-Benz during Memorial Day weekend.
Evans was stopped by police and arrested at gunpoint.
Authorities say the video offers evidence that Evans may have been racing another vehicle.
Attorneys say he pleaded no contest to reckless driving, was sentenced to 80 hours of community service, ordered to take part in teen driving programs and lost his license for 30 days.
Evans averaged 20.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.5 assists per game this past season.
