Bob Anderson, Wonderful Life Star, Dies at 75

Bob Anderson, who played the young George Bailey in the 1946 hit “It’s a Wonderful Life,” has died. Anderson, 75, died of cancer Friday at his home in Palm Springs.

Anderson was 7-years-old when he landed his first role in a film. He starred alongside Shirley Temple in “Young People.” He also appeared in “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.” 

 

He is perhaps best known for his role as the young George in Wonderful Life. The adult George was played by James Stewart.

 

Anderson later went on to become a production manager for several movies and TV shows. He is survived by his wife, Victoria.
