Skydiver Dies after Leaping from Plane with No Parachute

A Schenectady, New York man on a skydiving excursion has died after leaping from a plane at 10,000 feet without a parachute.

Sloan Carafello, 29, was accompanying a group that included an instructor, student and videographer as well as a pilot when the incident occurred. Carafello, equipped only with a camera, reportedly watched as the instructor and student jumped followed by the videographer.

According to the pilot the door was being shut when Carafello made the jump. His body was found next to a house that suffered damage to its roof.
