Stone Temple Pilots to Perform Live at Greek Theater in Berkeley July 25

The Stone Temple Pilots will be performing live at the Greek Theater – UC Berkeley in Berkeley, California on Friday, July 25 at 8:00 pm.  The band will play next at the AEG Live Concerts on the Green in San Diego, California on July 29.

 

An American rock band, the Stone Temple Pilots, often abbreviated as STP, is comprised of Scott Weiland (vocals), Robert DeLeo (bass guitar, vocals), Dean DeLeo (guitar) and Eric Kretz (drums, percussion).  The band formed in 1987 and continued to play until their 2003 breakup.  Five years later, the band reunited and is currently touring throughout the US before they begin recording their sixth album in November.

 

Having sold over 17.5 million albums in the United States and almost 40 million worldwide, STP has had fifteen top ten singles on the Billboard rock charts, six of which were #1’s and one #1 album on the pop charts.  The band won a Grammy for the Best Hard Rock Performance in 1994 for their song “Plush” from their album, Core.
