Zimbabwe adamant for an apology from Western envoys

Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe was extremely offended when 3 Western envoys who were attending President Mugabe's sister's funeral got up and left in the middle of the ceremony.

In a speech at his sister's funeral, President Robert Mugabe expressed his view that Western nations interfering in his country's issues should "go to hell."

EU, German, and US envoys were offended by President Mugabe's speech and walked away from the funeral, refusing to hear the offensive ideas the grieving president was expressing.

Mugabe and other Zimbabwean officials feel that the envoys' behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. US Ambassador Charles Ray feels the same way about President Mugabe's speech and refuses to admit the need to give the President an apology.

President Mugabe, however, stands by his demands and feels that the memory of his younger sister, Sabina Mugabe, has been hurt by the disrespect the Western envoys showed him and his nation.
