SuperCamp’s kids camp programs help make it a great summer for kids with learning and life skills that are designed around the ages of the campers and taught via activities that engage the children in fun and entertaining ways.
SuperCamp’s two youth summer camps include Youth Forum for boys and girls going into grades 4 and 5 in the fall and Junior Forum for students entering grades 6 to 8. Both of these academic summer camps are geared to what’s relevant to students at their particular level in school.
Junior high school is a challenging experience. Classes and teachers can become more demanding. Students often find themselves struggling to find out who they are, what they're good at and what group of friends they fit in with. At Junior Forum, campers discover their individual learning styles and develop skills for dealing with a heavier academic schedule.
Junior Forum participants also learn how to participate in real-life activities that enable them to make responsible choices and win the support, understanding and guidance of teachers and parents. And they make friendships with students from across the country and the world, discover their talents and strengths and prepare for their transition into high school.
In Youth Forum, campers have fun learning with other kids during games, with music and through other activities. Frequent team activities, such as ropes course games, teach participants how to use teamwork and trust in each other. Throughout this seven-day kids camp, team leaders help each camper feel safe and feel good about themselves, while building their confidence on a daily basis with several mini-success moments. Plus, there's free time for activities and sports or to just relax and listen to music.
Youth Forum will take place in San Diego at Cal State San Marcos from July 11 through 17. Junior Forum will be held at all eight U.S. SuperCamp locations, from Stanford in the west to Cornell in the east. A limited number of spaces are available in some of the camp sessions, so parents are urged to call 800-285-3276 immediately to secure a spot.
