Plane Crashes at Sudan Airport; 217 Feared Dead

 

A plane flying from Amman, Jordan burst into flames while attempting to land in Khartoum, Sudan on Tuesday. Officials say the plane crash happened as the plane was attempting to land.

 

Airport authorities say the plane may have come in too high for a landing and overshot the runway. Witnesses say the plane slid off the end of the runway and burst into flames

 

203 passengers and 14 crew members were reported on board the Airbus A310 aircraft. Reports have not confirmed injuries or whether there are any survivors.
