Tina Turner to Perform Live at HP Pavilion at San Jose October 19

Tina Turner will be performing live at the HP Pavilion at San Jose in San Jose, California on Sunday, October 19 at 7:00 pm.  She will perform again at the Pavilion the following night before moving on to Sacramento, California for her October 22nd concert at ARCO Arena.

 

American singer-songwriter, dancer and actress, Tina Turner was born as Anna Mae Bullock.  The winner of eight Grammy Awards, she has earned the title as “The Queen of Rock & Roll” for her contribution to rock music, although she has also performed R&B, soul, dance and pop music.  She has been listed as one of The Immortals – The Greatest Artists of All Time by Rolling Stone and is in the Grammy Hall of Fame with two of her singles, “River Deep  Mountain High” (1999) and “Proud Mary” (2003).

 

Turner will begin her 2008 tour in Kansas City on October 1 after she was convinced to do so by actress Sophia Loren.
