Bombing at Philippines Airport Kills 1, Wounds 14

A bomb exploded Thursday night at the Zamboanga International Airport in Zamboanga City, Philippines. A man, believed to be the bomber, was killed in the blast. Fourteen others, including Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan, were injured.

Tan believes he was the target of the attack. He told the Philippines New Agency that he saw an unidentified man approaching him when the explosion occurred. “The man could be a suicide bomber and his intention was to get close to me," Tan said.

Authorities are investigating the attack.
