Man Who Suffered Nearly One Thousand Bee Stings Upgraded to Fair Condition

A 72-year-old Texas man has been upgraded to fair condition two days after suffering nearly one thousand bee stings while working in an area just south of Graham.

James Milton Dunsworth was operating a bulldozer in Dark Canyon when he disturbed the bees and the before he knew it the swarm had covered his body. He was airlifted to John Peterson Hospital in Fort Worth and admitted in critical condition on Monday but has since shown improvement.

Officials will test the bees to see if they are the Africanized killer bees that have continued to populate the state.
