A Japanese video game launch was called off following a deadly stabbing rampage that left seven people dead and 10 others wounded.
Game maker Konami cancelled three launch events scheduled for Thursday for “Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots” which features a character armed with a huge dagger who stabs his way through enemy lines.
A 25-year old factory worker was arrested carrying two knives after Sunday’s attack. Police say that Tomohiro Kato also had other knives stashed in a nearby vehicle, and may have even dropped one during the unprovoked attack.
