Smoke Covers Moscow as Wildfires Continue to Burn

A thick layer of smoke blanketed Moscow Friday as hundreds of separate wildfires continue to burn in western Russia. Most people out and about in Moscow are wearing masks.

Earlier this week, seven regions of the country were put under a state of emergency. Thousands have lost their homes to the fires and some 34 people have been confirmed dead.
