A Mexican mayor has ensured the men of the community will have a happy Father’s Day after handing out free Viagra and condoms Thursday.
Escobedo Mayor Margarita Martinez said the handouts, timed to coincide with Father’s Day, are part of a campaign to raise awareness of male health problems.
A team of doctors and nurses were available Thursday giving free exams to determine which men were healthy enough to receive the pills. The Viagra had been donated by pharmacies.
Mayor Martinez hopes the campaign will strengthen family life in Escobedo, saying a strong family “requires a healthy man, and a healthy sex life is a part of general health.”
