Cruise Ship Runs Aground off Greek Island

A cruise ship with more than 450 people on board ran aground Friday at an island port off of Syros, Greece. No injuries or damage were reported.

Greek authorities with the Merchant Marine Ministry said a Maltese-flagged ship from the budget easyCruise line ran aground on a sandy part of the Syros port.

Passengers on board the easyCruise Life were able to disembark and continue on scheduled island tours. The ship was towed into port for a full inspection, and no damage was found.

The cruise was expected to continue normally.
