Flooding in Central Europe Leaves at Least 10 Dead

Heavy rains caused flooding in parts of central Europe over the weekend and left nearly a dozen people dead. Thousands of people were evacuated in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic as water levels rose in creeks and rivers, and dams burst.

Officials say at least 10 people were killed; three in the Polish town of Bogatvnia, three in the German town of Neukirchen and four in the north Bohemia region of the Czech Republic.

Meteorologists predict that rains will taper off Monday.
