Drought in Moscow raises more concern
The previously estimated 65 million tonnes is thought to no longer be possible.
Due to the drought in Moscow, harvest estimates have been further lowered to 60 million tonnes, though the beginning estimates were between 70 and 75 million.
Widespread fires have also lessened the amount of output estimated. The ban on wheat exports does not seem to have a chance at being lifted anytime soon.
The ban is expected to extend past 2010, according to Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin.
