Honda Recalls Nearly 400,000 Accord, Civic and Element Cars

Honda announced a recall Monday of 383,000 vehicles for possible problems with failure of the ignition mechanism. If the mechanism becomes worn out it could allow the ignition key to be removed while the car is not in park, which may allow it to roll away.

The recall includes 197,000 Accord and 117,000 Civic sedans made in 2003, and 69,000 Element vehicles made in 2003 and 2004.
