Ex NASA Administrator Sean O’Keefe in Alaska Plane Crash

A former NASA Administrator identified as Sean O’Keefe was involved in a plane crash Monday night in Alaska. EADS North America, where O’Keefe is CEO, confirms he was on board the private plane that crashed near Dillingham around 7 p.m.

“Sean O'Keefe, EADS North America's CEO, was a passenger on a private aircraft that crashed in Alaska last night. Local authorities are reporting that there are survivors and a rescue operation is under way. No other details are available at this time," says EADS North America spokesman Guy Hicks.

The Alaska National Guard said there were some “potential fatalities.” According to reports, 8 people were on board.

Details on the crash were not immediately available. O’Keefe’s condition is unclear.
