Tigers Ready To Roar?

The Tigers are finally starting to play good baseball and the team seems to be hitting its stride. They are finally getting good pitching and hitting at the same time. Coming off an 8-2 home stand they know find themselves just 6 games behind the White Sox and will be facing the weak hitting Giants in their next series.

The Tigers have really thrived in Interleague Play over the last couple of years like the rest of the American League has and they could use this to get them back in the race. Today's game in the Giants will be no tough one as they face the young phenom Lincecum. He will probably feature some of the best stuff the Tigers have seen this year and will provide a challenge for the right handed heavy Tigers lineup.

The time is now for the Tigers to get on a roll and prove that they will not be a flop to many pre-season predictions. They may not reach the prediction that everyone thought about them scoring 1,000 runs but they prove that they are a good club and chemistry is there.

The next six games against two weaker NL teams will give a good understanding of where the team is and if they are truly ready to break through to the top. If they continue to get the good pitching and timely hitting as they received during their recent home stand, the rest of the AL Central should be very afraid.
