Car Bombing in Northern Baghdad Leaves at last 11 Dead

At least 11 people have died and several more left injured in northern Baghdad after a car rigged with explosives was detonated near a bus station during Tuesday’s evening rush hour.

The bombing took place in the predominately Shia Muslim neighborhood of Hurriya, Iraq and was the deadliest bombing in the Baghdad since early June.

Tuesday’s bombing appeared to be timed to detonate near the bus stop at an hour when it would be most crowded.
