Katricia Daniels, 36, was stabbed more than 100 times by the teens, who blamed one another for the killings. Daniels’ son Robert Shepard, 10, was smashed in the head with a TV.
Daniels’ boyfriend found her and her son’s blood covered bodies last Thursday. Their 1-year-old daughter was left in the home unharmed. Blood was spattered on the walls throughout the
Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman believes Daniels welcomed the boys into her home because they knew her 15-year-old son, who is in jail. Prosecutors don’t have a motive for the murders.
“We don’t know why this murder was committed and we may never know why. The level of violence associated with this crime is difficult to comprehend and difficult to imagine,” said Freeman.
Stafon and Flowers claimed robbery was the motive for the killings. The only item taken from the home was Daniels’ cell phone. The teens are set to appear in court today.
