Thompson, Flowers Charged with Gruesome Murder of Katricia Daniels

Stafon Edward Thompson and Brian Lee Flowers were charged as adults Tuesday after stabbing Katricia Daniels 100 times and killing her son, Robert Shepard.

Thompson, 17, and Flowers, 16, stabbed and cut Daniels, 36, more than 100 times and hit Shepard, 10, over the head with a television, killing him.

Joseph Williams, Daniels' boyfriend, found the bodies last Thursday. The couple's 23-month old daughter, who was home at the time, was unharmed in the attack, which occured in Minneapolis last week.

Blood was spattered throughout the house, leaving bloody footprints, handprints and fingerprints behind, according to court documents.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman told Associated Press that it appeared Daniels welcomed the teens into her home on June 11 because they knew her 15-year-old son who lives in Chicago.

According to court documents, Thompson and Flowers blamed each other for the killings and indicated robbery was the motive. However, officials don't believe their story based on the extreme violence of the incident and that they only took Daniels' cellphone.
