British Security Breached for Second Time in a Week

British security was breached for the second time in less than a week after a computer was stolen from the office of Britain's secretary of state for communities and local government.

The computer was stolen from the Manchester office of Hazel Blears. Officials reported that while the computer did contain restricted government documents, no top secret information was compromised.

The theft, which occurred Saturday, was the second security breach involving a senior British official in a week. Last Wednesday, the BBC reported that a British intelligence officer left top secret files concerning Iraq and the activities of al Qaeda on the seat of a commuter train.
