Phil Mickelson diagnosed with arthritis

Mickelson announced on Tuesday that he is being treated for a form of arthritis.  This announcement was made during the PGA championship. Prior to this announcement Phil Mickelson felt pain to his feet, his back and lower body.  Despite the pain he managed to play at Pebble Beach and tied for fourth.

Unfortunately his condition got progressively worse which resulted in him being fully diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis which causes the joints to become inflamed resulting in burning, pain and stiffness.  Recently Michelson began taking weekly shots of  Enbril  which  left him feeling well enough  to practice last week.

According to Michelson, he said he did “not want to make excuses and that is why he kept his condition quiet; He also stated that he did not want to discuss the condition until he knew what the outcome would be. “ I am very confident that this condition of psoriatic arthritis will not affect my career or life.”

Luckily for sports fans, Hollywood Collectibles carries a variety of Phil Michelson memorabilia.  Hollywood Collectibles is a sports memorabilia store that sells autographed photos, game used pieces, vintage items, and many more.  You can find Hollywood Collectibles sports memorabilia online or visit the store in Hollywood, Florida.  Owner Rich Altman has been featured on programs such as “60 minutes and HBO’s “Real Sports” as an autograph expert.  He has been written up as a leader in this industry.  Rich has exclusive deals with legends like Bill Russell and Sam Jones for the past 11 years.  Not to mention former exclusives with superstars Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, Brandon Roy and baseball stars like Miquel Cabrera and Hanley Ramirez.
