Husband Charged in Australian Death of American Newlywed
Charges in the Australian death of an American newlywed were filed Friday as police issued a warrant for the arrest of the woman’s husband.
Daniel Gabriel (Gabe) Watson has been charged with drowning his wife of 11 days while diving on the
Gabe Watson, an experienced diver, told authorities his wife Tina, an inexperienced diver, simply panicked minutes into their dive on a historic shipwreck. Although he was trained in dive rescue, Gabe Watson indicated he chose to surface for help rather than attempt to save his wife.
