Lull in Colombia interrupted by car bomb

Colombia has not seen terroristic activity in over a year since the Farc rebel group's power was cut down by half by US-backed retaliation. However, the peace was rudely interrupted by a car bomb that went off in Bogota, Colombia's capital, on Thursday morning. The car was outside of a major radio station. The explosion has injured at least 9 people, officials say. Newly appointed President Santos says the explosion is a pathetic attempt to instill fear in civilians. Santos is said to suspect Farc rebel groups for the action. Windows were broken, a bus was destroyed, but if the terrorists' aims were to annihilate the radio station, they failed. The radio shows scheduled for the morning continued despite the ruckus outside.
