Hood's New England Dairy Cook-Off

Presented by Hood Sour Cream

Do you love to cook with dairy?

Hood, maker of dairy products, is hosting a New England Dairy Cook-Off recipe contest on their website.  The contest, presented by Hood Sour Cream, is designed to draw recipes for the company's 2010 Dairy Cook-Off Competition where the best original recipes will be in the running to win a Grand Prize of $10,000.

Recipes should be easy to prepare and cook while producing big results and flavor.  Contestants may submit recipes in any one of five categories:

  • Breakfast/Brunch
  • Lunch/Dinner (Entrée)
  • Soups/Chowders
  • Appetizers/Side Dishes
  • Dessert
Contestants must also use at least one eligible Hood brand product in the creation of the recipe.  Eligible products for the Hood New England Dairy Cook-Off include: Hood Milk, Hood Simply Smart® Milk, Hood Cream, Hood Sour Cream, Hood Cottage Cheese, Hood Country Creamer®, Hood EggNog, and Hood Calorie Countdown®.

Entry is free and is open to everyday home cooks residing within the six New England states - Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. For the five categories listed previously, a representative from each of the six New England states will be selected as a semifinalist. A winner from each of these categories will be chosen to compete at the televised head-to-head Cook-Off event later that same day for the $10,000 Grand Prize.

Visit the Hood website to enter and for contest rules.
