Portugal battles dozens of forest fires

Authorities in Portugal have arrested 13 people in connection with forest fires in the northern part of the country. More than 700 firefighters are fighting a dozen fires. Three firefighters have died.

Police are investigating the cause of the fires.

Nearly 9,000 forest fires have burned 48,000 acres of Portugal this year.
