World’s Ugliest Dog Crowned at Sonoma-Marin Fair in California

Gus has three-legs, one eye and no hair and now he has the title World’s Ugliest Dog after voters crowed the Chinese Crested pooch at the annual Sonoma-Marin Fair on Saturday.

Jeanenne Teed, owner of Gus, made the trek from St. Petersburg, Fl to California to witness her dog win the award and said she would use the prize money to get skin cancer treatment for Gus.

Teed revealed that Gus had been saved from a neglectful owner, had a leg amputated as a result of his skin tumor, and lost an eye in a fight with a cat.

The Sonoma-Marin Fair has been crowning the World’s Ugliest Dog for 20 years and has become one of the fair’s most successful attractions.
