California Prison Guard Stabbed to Death by Inmates

A California prison guard was stabbed to death by inmates on Friday at the U.S. Penitentiary in Atwater.

Jose Rivera, 22, was stabbed by two inmates who were using crudely made weapons. Rivera was rushed to a local hospital but was declared dead shortly after arrival.

The FBI is now investigating the murder.
