Bodies of Missing Snowboarders Found in Washington State's Cascades
The bodies of three snowboarders who had been missing since December were found by searchers on Saturday in
Friends of Kevin Carter, 26, Devlin Williams, 29, and Phillip Hollins, 41, searched near the popular skiing area of
It had been next to impossible for searchers to launch much of a rescue effort when the three went missing in Dec. due to the heavy snow and threat of avalanches. On Saturday those efforts were put into place as snow began to melt, making the easier.
It is widely believed the three men were killed by an avalanche but autopsies will be performed to provide a conclusive cause.
