12 drug gang suspects killed in shootout in Mexico

Twelve men suspected of being a part of a drug gang were killed in a shootout with Mexican soldiers Thursday. Mexican soldiers were sent to a ranch in Durango state known as “El Caxadero” after receiving a tip about the suspects.

The suspects began shooting at the soldiers when they arrived at the ranch. Three soldiers were injured. The soldiers confiscated a dozen rifles, 13 bullet-proof vests and four vehicles.
