Close Up TV News recognizes Van Dyk Health Care

Close Up TV News recognizes Van Dyk Health Care for its distinguished leadership in providing the highest quality in care and service among assisted living facilities for its community’s residents.

Family owned and operated for over 50 years Van Dyk comprises four homes.   Van Dyk Park Place is the company’s flagship residence where 113 residents each with individual and varying needs are provided with a comprehensive continuum of care. Bob Van Dyk and his staff develop a sense of community and a social atmosphere for their residents.

“We teach the staff to make their day brighter,” says Todd Aronson executive director of Van Dyke Park place facility.  “It’s a really positive environment."

Van Dyk distinguishes itself from other assisted living or senior communities with its commitment to new technology. Van Dyk Park Place is the first facility in New Jersey to employ something called “It’s Never Too Late” an interactive touch screen system for seniors offering a series of activities like puzzles and games, music, traveling and e-mails. The facilities also employ personal trainers and incorporate medication dispensers.

The interior of each of Van Dyk’s facilities is beautiful as well, each of them designed and decorated by Bob Van Dyk who has taken a remarkably artistic approach to the building. With a near-obsessive attention to detail and an unspoken deliberateness of thought, Van Dyk’s facilities combine aesthetics and function in a way that is intuitive in its approach.

“We get comments all the time from potential residents that our staff is so cheerful, says Aronson. “Disney World’s philosophy is to always smile once you’re in front of a customer. Because we value our employees the smiles on our staff are genuine.”
