Bill Clinton Throws Support Behind Barack Obama

While Bill Clinton took to criticizing the campaign tactics of likely Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama during the primary season the former President has announced he would now support the Illinois senator in his bid to win the White House in November.

Clinton campaigned hard for his wife, Hillary Clinton, over the past year and a half and during that time he called into question Obama’s experience, knowledge of foreign affairs and accused him of “playing the race card” to gain votes.

After Obama secured enough delegates to capture the nomination Hillary suspended her campaign and eventually declared she would work to unite the Democratic Party. Now Bill Clinton has followed his wife’s lead and announced he would support Obama.

While Clinton has expressed a willingness to campaign for Obama it is unclear how involved he will be as rumors remain concerning their fractured relationship.

Obama’s relationship with Hillary Clinton appears to be on the other end of the spectrum as the two are scheduled to appear together in Unity, NH on Friday for a rally.
