The body of a pregnant soldier was found in a Fayetteville motel days after her arrival in Fort Bragg from Germany. Authorities say the death of Spc. Megan Lynn Touma is “suspicious” and they are investigating.
The 23-year-old was a dental specialist with the 19th Replacement Company. She was 7 months pregnant at the time of her death. The cause of death is unknown.
Touma is the second pregnant soldier member found dead in North Carolina this year. In January Cpl. Maria Lauterbach was found dead near Camp Lejeune. Cpl. Cesar Laurean was charged with Lauterbach’s murder. He is awaiting extradition from Mexico.
